12:30~15:00【Finding Native Orchids In Mihu Trail】
Located by Alishan Township Office is the starting point for the 1.2km-long Miyang Creek Trail. A beautiful and elegant Miyang Suspension Bridge quietly stands over the river valley, and the hiking trail is softly summoning the tourists at the other end of the Suspension Bridge.Along the way, There are so many different native orchids here for you to discover.

Take the Sunrise Watching Train to the highest train station in Taiwan, Zhushan Station, from where you continue to the Mt. Ogasawara Viewing Lot to watch the amazingly beautiful Alishan sunrise.

07:00～11:00【Zhushan Footpath & Pleione Story House】
Zhushan Footpath in Alishan National Forest Recreation Area mainly connects Zhaoping Station, Zhaoping Park, Zhushan Forest Road, and Sunrise Viewing Lot. It’s the major route for a sunrise hike. Tourists can enjoy exclusive forest bathing.
【Pleione Story House】
Alishan Ecocenter is situated in the Alishan Forest Recreation Area. The site includes the Taiwan Pleione nature reserve and Tashan and Lulinshan Major Wildlife Habitats. The Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency staff members have participated in environmental monitoring and resource survey in the reserve for a long period of time. They also conduct habitat restoration for Alishan salamander and Taiwan Pleione. Over the years, work has been successful. In order for people to understand the importance of reserve habitats and species preservation, the theme for the story house is preservation of the species of Alishan salamander and Taiwan Pleione.

Alishan National Forest Recreation Area is located in Alishan Township, Chiayi, covering an area of 1,400 hectares with the main tourism spot locating at about 2,200 meters high above sea level. It is cloudy mid-elevation temperate climate with an average annual temperature 10.6 ℃ and the annual rainfall is up to 4,000 mm. There are 209 raining days and 244 foggy days on average. The heavily wet weather contribute the outstanding forest and climate landscape such as Alishan sunrise, sea of clouds, afterglow, forest, railways which count to the five famous sightseeing spots known internationally.
